Riserva San Massimo is a top-quality company, according to IFS

Riserva San Massimo has achieved IFS (International Featured Standards) certification with a score of 96.66%, attaining the “Higher Level”, the highest recognition provided for by the standard.

IFS is one of the leading international standards for assessing food safety and quality. Through a rigorous audit system, it verifies products, processes, and production systems, certifying a company’s ability to produce safe, authentic food that complies with regulatory requirements and market expectations.

The audit performed in April certified the packaging of rice in a modified atmosphere (MAP), a technology that best preserves the product’s organoleptic characteristics, keeping its freshness, aroma, and quality unchanged over time. A second audit session dedicated to certifying the drying process is scheduled for the fall.

“Modified-atmosphere packaging is a crucial step of our work because it helps us protect the rice without affecting its natural qualities, preserving all the characteristics that make it unique,” says Dino Massignani, Riserva San Massimo’s director. “Getting this certification at the highest level makes us especially proud and confirms the attention and care we put into every stage of the supply chain every day, from the field to packaging.”
