Carnaroli rice “I Fontanili” by Riserva San massimo is released in Esselunga

Our “I Fontanili” selection makes its debut in large-scale retail and is now available on Esselunga shelves, both in-store and online, in the 500-gram format.
This marks an opportunity to bring a wider audience closer to our rice, and share a story rooted in passion, respect and patience – the values behind a product that is a good, healthy and high in quality.

“I Fontanili” was born in 2023 in San Massimo di Sopra, in the heart of the Terrazza del Ticino: a unique area characterized by a light and well-draining soil, ideal to bring out the best in every grain. In San Massimo di Sopra we apply the same careful methods used for Carnaroli Classico: organic fertilization, methane gas drying, stone husking, and nitrogen-sealed packaging in recyclable materials.

The result is a long-grain Carnaroli with excellent starch release, delicate hints of hazelnut notes, and excellent cooking performance, ideal for preparing high-quality risotto.

“I Fontanili” is the result of mindful farming and careful craftsmanship, perfectly aligned with our philosophy at Riserva San Massimo: caring for the land, respecting its rhythms, and offering a fully transparent product — from rice field to table.
